Movie lovers love festivals but everyone loves Whistler and what better combination than the two? Well, here’s a dream come true. The First Weekend Club, one of my favourite movie related ventures, is sponsoring a great contest that combines both.

This year’s Whistler Film Festival, which runs December 4th to 7th, has programmed some fantastic films including Bruce McDonald’s Pontypool (our review), The Black Balloon starring Toni Collette, Last Chance Harvey starring Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson and one of my favourite documentaries of the year Murray Siple’s Carts of Darkness (our review).

The contest, which closes on Thursday, November 27th, includes:

• Airfare for two to Vancouver courtesy of Renshaw Travel
• A chauffeured Star Limousine scenic drive to Whistler
• 3 nights stay at the Pan Pacific Village Centre hotel
• Passes to Whistler Film Festival films and Gala party

Basically, a weekend of fun and glamour at the festival, a chance to see all of the great films and an opportunity to take in the ski hills (thought I’m not sure what the snow level is like up there at the moment so check The Weather Network before packing the equipment).
