I haven’t seen a good, sweeping romance since 2006′s The Painted Veil and even that seems small potatoes compared to the grandness of Baz Luhrmann sweeping Australia.
I’ve already gushed and moaned at how badly I want to see this film and this new trailer only adds to my already heightened level of excitement. Granted, not much new to go on here but it features even more footage from the film and a score that doesn’t really work for me but I’m willing to overlook that one small transgression.
Australia opens on November 26th.

This music is the GREAT, GREAT band Explosions in the Sky, who have had their music in the likes of Friday Night Lights, Snow Angels, and a bunch movie trailers over the past few years. They do amazing work.
BUT
David Hirschfelder is composing the score for Australia, so it isn’t likely we will be hearing their music in the actual film.
I have this one as a must-see as well. I’m a fan of Luhrmann, and I’m liking what I see in the trailers so far.
