As for The Road – I didn’t find it boring for a single second though I did have to stop on a number of occasions because of the images that were forming in my brain. That book was depressing as hell to read. I expect the film will be depressing as hell to watch and yet, I’m looking forward to it.

I'm also not a fan of No Country. So the movie has a lot stacked against it, but I'm still hoping it will be awesome based on Viggo's presence alone, with a little awesomeness potentially added by Charlize and Guy Pearce if they have enough screentime. I doubt it will get any commercial release, though I hope we'll at least get a chance to see it on DVD someday. I'll probably check out Appaloosa when it goes to the second-run theatres in a few weeks. Surprisingly, even the mildly poor reviews aren't dissuading me from Appaloosa, haven't heard too much good or bad about Good and The Road....I'm pretty excited about The Road.
