De Niro and Pacino Sit Down for First Interview Together

September 11th, 2008
Written By: Jonathan B.

Fresh from my inbox, check out this in depth interview with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino - the first interview of them side by side… ever. It’s a good half-an-hour long with NBC’s Brian Williams and they cover a little bit of everything, from their favorites of the younger generation of actors, to acting themselves, to 9/11, to politics, to their new movie Righteous Kill which comes out tomorrow (look for our review soon!). If you’re a fan of these two acting titans, check it out.

They are certainly comfortable with each other and do play off each other like old good friends, so hopefully that chemistry oozes onto the screen this weekend.

Update: Looks like they were making their rounds as they also appeared on David Letterman last night to present the top ten reasons they enjoy being an actor. It’s very silly and maybe a bit ridiculous (#6 comes to mind, but how he said it made me giggle), but you can tell that they know it, which makes it all the more enjoyable. Check that out after the jump.

  1. “It’s the makeup. I like wearing the makeup.”
