• The Sensation of Sight Hits DVD!

I received an e-mail informing me that The Sensation of Sight, a film I’ve been looking forward to for a while, has finally been released on DVD and can be purchased over at Amazon.

If you don’t remember me oozing with excitement or our interview with director Aaron J. Wiederspahn, this low-budget independent film stars the ridiculously talented David Strathairn as a middle-aged man who after facing a tragedy in his life starts going door to door selling encyclopedias and searching for the meaning of it all.

While its a shame it didn’t get a wider theatrical release, it made its rounds at some festivals and won plenty of awards along the way (including Best Feature Film at the New Hampshire Film Festival and Best Cinematography at the Durban International Film Festival) and there has been even more praise, specifically for impressive direction by Wiederspahn and Strathairn’s Oscar-worthy performance.

I’ve been cutting way back on my DVD purchases, but I think I’ll make an exception here.
