TIFF Update

Sep
2008
The festival has been going strong for a couple of days and John and Kurt have been very, very busy guys.
If you haven’t checked out the TIFF coverage yet, you’ve missed a few things but worry not, it’s never too late to catch up. Here’s what you’ve missed so far:
- Review of Ed Harris’s Appaloosa
- Review of Richard Linklater’s Me and Orson Welles
- Review of AJ Annila’s Sauna
- Review of So Yong Kim’s Treeless Mountain
- Review of Javor Gardev’s Zift
- Review of Ari Folman’s Waltz with Bashir
- Review of Mabrouk El Mechri’s JCVD
- Review of Mamoru Oshii’s The Sky Crawlers
- Review of Rian Johnson’s The Brothers Bloom
Alongside those reviews, there are pages and pages of information and trailers for many of the films. To keep up with all the action, be sure to head over to our TIFF area. Even better, don’t miss a single step of the action by subscribing to the section feed.
Stay tuned for more updates from Toronto!

Not sure if my comment in the TIFF section will be noticed, so I’ll try this again. I have two TIFF tickets for Sugar that I can’t use, playing at the Paramount Wed Sept 10 at 3:30pm. If anyone’s interested, please email me: ashleytownsend715 at gmail dot com. The movie is by the same directors that did Half Nelson with Ryan Gosling a few years back. It’s about a baseball player. Here’s all the info you need:

Thanks Ashley. I also linked to your comment in Twitter. Hopefully someone will take them!
