This coming Halloween, instead of the 14th installment of Saw or another Hostel movie, we may be treated (forgive the pun) to something a little different. Something good and scary; and something a bit more original.
Trick r Treat is comprised of four stories that somehow intertwine for a spook-tacular story of mischief and mayhem of all manners of creatures (both human and supernatural) on devil’s night.
Nothing is what it seems when a suburban couple learns the dangers of blowing out a Jack-o-Lantern before midnight; four women cross paths with a costumed stalker at a local festival; a group of pranksters goes too far and discovers the horrifying truth buried in a local legend; and a cantankerous old hermit is visited by a strange trick-or-treater with a few bones to pick.
Now to me, when I read the description I immediately thought of Stephen King’s Creepshow from 1982. While I’m not holding my breath, I do have hopes that we’ll get treated rather than tricked and get a handful of as much fun and creepiness in our bags as Creepshow was.
Trick r Treat will be the directorial debut of Michael Dougherty; who also helped pen the scripts for X2: X-Men United and Superman Returns. The movie stars Anna Paquin, Brian Cox, Dylan Baker and Leslie Bibb among others.

Holy ORPHANAGE, batman. (Those One Sheets, I mean)
What’s even better is I just realized that Marina already posted all this information a few days ago. Awesome. They call me Mr. Redundant.
Complete with a trailer
Yeah, I RULE!
The thing with that first poster, the one with the kid sitting down, is that it’s from LAST year’s promotional campaign. The one that started in June or somewhere around that time.
