by John Allison
July 25th, 2008

My Mother-In-Law asked me if I had this series of movies so I figured I would do a screen shot from one of them.

  2. Sorry nope, but its the correct genre. The first clue would be to consider what will happen next to someone climbing that way.

  3. Perhaps its just quiet around here today. I thought this series of movies were pretty popular and that everyone had seen them.

  4. Carry On Henry?

    Comment by Ross Miller — July 25, 2008 @ 12:56 pm

  5. Carry on Henry is one of the Carry on movies from over in the UK. I believe they were big in the 60’s but I could be wrong. They were all spoof comedies.

    Comment by John Allison — July 25, 2008 @ 1:33 pm

  6. Is that what the screenshot is of?

    Comment by Ross Miller — July 25, 2008 @ 1:35 pm

  7. Nope it isn’t. I’ll give you a big hint. In the movie the main character’s boss wants him dead.

  8. The shot looks familiar but I’m at complete loss here.

    Comment by Swarez — July 25, 2008 @ 3:34 pm

  9. Ditto. I feel like I should know it, but…nothing.

    Comment by Kurt Halfyard — July 25, 2008 @ 3:35 pm

  10. I’m guessing but Jabberwocky?

    Comment by Marina Antunes — July 25, 2008 @ 3:43 pm

  11. How about if I give the hint that the boss blackmails the world into sending assassins after the main character by creating a giant laser beam weapon.

  13. Pink Panther is the one and bonus points to anyone who can say which movie it is in the series.

    Comment by John Allison — July 25, 2008 @ 4:37 pm

  14. Yeah I think Fabio is right - is it The Pink Panther Strikes again?

    Comment by Ross Miller — July 25, 2008 @ 4:38 pm

  15. You are right Ross.

    Comment by John Allison — July 25, 2008 @ 4:59 pm

  16. That explains it. I loathe this franchise. Simply not funny.

    Comment by Kurt — July 26, 2008 @ 7:53 am

  17. The Pink Panther Strikes Again!
    One of my favorites.

    Comment by T — July 26, 2008 @ 7:02 pm

  18. I just want to chime in to post a correction to Kurt’s last comment - this series is in fact extremely funny. However, the truth of this statement does not encapsulate the first in said series, titled simply The Pink Panther, but does include a film which is only tangentially related to the series, A Shot in the Dark.

  19. Yea, humour is subjective and all, but i’ve seen a few entries of the series directed by Blake Edwards and I simply didn’t laugh at the slapstick or silliness. Curiously I liked parts of The Party, S.O.B. and 10…

    Comment by Kurt Halfyard — July 27, 2008 @ 6:47 am

  20. I never understood why Blake Edwards got so much love. The funniest films he ever did were the first couple of Pink Panther film and that was all Peter Sellers, not him. The rest were utter bores. Now if he had added a few fart jokes…
