  1. Yay, Shotgun stories. Definitely picking up that one.

  2. looking forward to finally seeing Doomsday, and am somewhat interested in the Dark City directors cut. otherwise pretty weak month. Well, yeah, City of Men is out now though.

For the record, City of Men is an EXCELLENT TV series, and you can get the whole thing around the same price as the movie on dvd, and its probably better too. Kurt, if you made the trek to my house I’d even gladly lend it out.

  3. War Games *and* Heathers? … rock on.

But seriously I’m just thrilled to see My Blueberry Nights, even though it was really recently in the theatre here. Great film.

  4. Oh man, lots of good stuff in there. Shotgun Stories, curious about Stop-Loss and Sleepwalking. Missed a local screening of the Joe Strummer doc so I’ll have to pick that up at some point. Penelope, The Last Winter and Harold and Kumar and Batman should be good and I’m particularly looking forward to picking up that Dark City SE along with checking out the Kiss of the Spiderwoman which I’ve never seen from beginning to end.

I recommend avoiding Shutter, it’s shit, and picking up The Year My Parents Went on Vacation - it’s pretty good. A stellar looking month indeed.

  5. The Last Winter is fucking awful. I have a review for it up on Cinema Fusion. It blatantly spoils the movie, but trust me that is a good thing.

Also that list is missing the most important release of the month.

  6. The inability to post images seriously sucks.

  7. Whew. I honestly thought that maybe I had missed an important one. Thanks for the sarcasm. Keep it coming Mr. Haim.

  8. Weak month goon? Really? I see at least two titles each week I’m at least interested in. Blueberry, Vampyr, Penelope, City of Men, Strummer, Sleepwalking (like Nick Stahl for some reason), Penelope, Spaced, The Deal.. yeah, quite looking forward to the rest of this month.

Saw Vantage Point the other night: meh. Nice idea, pulled off pretty horribly. Weaver is wasted.

  9. “The inability to post images seriously sucks.”

We’re working on that… a little bit. It will happen.

  10. Sarcasm my ass. The second I get that from UGO we are screening it at The Uptown.

Maybe if you were nicer you’d get invited.

  11. Dark City, Doomsday and Last Winter are a definite buys.

I greatly enjoyed Last Winter, great atmosphere and a cool story. Got the R2 release but that one is bare bones.
