Seems like we've been waiting on Knowing for a long long time over at QE. We've definitely all got a big time thing for Dark City, so when we heard that Proyas' new one would be apocalyptic in tone we pretty much lost it.

I kind of hate Nick Cage though.

Never seen Garage Days. Probably best that way. One good thing about I, Robot: it was filmed locally and the production donated a couple of cool benches to the City of New Westminster, each of them with a small plaque outlining the Laws of Robotics. It's pretty cool. I'll have to take a picture of them at some point.

The exact same thing scared me away from I, Robot. I saw it a few years ago on DVD. It's exactly the generic sci-fi action film I expected. The type of thing that's pleasant enough while you're watching but afterwards you can't think of a single good thing to say about it.

Serious Kurt, I would stay away from Garage Days. I've never been able to look at the guy the same way since.

Being a big fan of Proyas (well mainly Darkcity but to a lesser extent, The Crow), i'm actually surprised that Garage Days never fell into my lap at some point, it was more or less off my radar. Actually, the connection to Isaac Asimov, the stock-and-trade Will Smith Performance and rumours of endless product placement made me never watch I, Robot.

I'm curious about Knowing though. I'd buy that for a dollar.
