The Second Indy 4 Theatrical Trailer
If you saw Iron Man, then you probably already saw the new trailer for Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, but give it another watch anyway. There is plenty of new footage, a fancy voice-over by Indy himself, and well - I think my high expectations will be fulfilled.
In other news, John Hurt’s character has been confirmed to be named Professor Oxley - so that throws a curveball at those mumblings all over the internet that he may be somebody that we’ve only heard by name in the Indy-verse before.
Is anyone doubting that Indy will be the box office champ of the year? Is anyone getting sick of seeing Indiana Jones’s face everywhere yet? I’m sure not - having Indy on cereal, candy bars, lunch boxes, soda cans, Happy Meals, magazine covers, trading cards, Indy 500 cars, underwear, and Legos is pretty much what I’ve always envisioned heaven being like.

We were pretty excited when this trailer rolled but I must admit, I was surprised at the response from the crowd. Not too much buzz for this one which I found weird.

This looks embarrasing. I didn’t mind the first trailer too much, but I guess the jokes in that one were the best they had to offer, which isn’t saying much. Seriously, that one scene where Harrison Ford is punching somebody looks like this guy shouldn’t be starring in actionmovies anymore, go figure.
Combine that with the non-existent storyline and this looks like a straight-up remake of Raiders, which I guess for most people would be a good thing, but all that movie is, is 20minutes of exposition and 80 minutes of setpieces. Newsflash: Action gets boring.

Oh man. Not sure what this is advertising but the Indy footage looks fantastic:

No idea what Meimmand Filmmaant is, but I was sure up until that point that this was the opening for the MTV movie awards or something.
But at any rate, you’re right. Nice splicing together of several iconic characters and films. As always, Indy ends victorious.

1989 was too long ago to have made the last Indy film. They need to pump out AT LEAST five more of these before Harrison Ford dies.

five? why not six?
really though, i generally hate “blockbuster season” but this is shaping up to be the funnest one in years
