Iron Sky Teaser Trailer

by Marina Antunes
May 6th, 2008

A few weeks back I brought up how fabulous the upcoming Iron Sky sci-fi parody film was looking and the crew behind the production has been working hard to finish off the trailer which went live a few hours ago and it was well worth the wait.

It’s clear almost immediately that these guys have a little more money this time around and for a moment, I wondered if they were going down the more serious route but the closing scene is clear indication that there will be a few more laughs. If this teaser is any indication, we’re in for a nice treat.

  1. Love the high concept. Love the retro aesthetic. Love the independant film maker spirit.

Didn’t like the music choice, but I’m bookmarking their main site to stay abreast of developments.

Thanks for the heads up on this one.

  2. Yes. This looks totally fabulous. I hope it turns out as well as this early trailer makes it appear.

  3. You just don’t see ideas this original in mainstream cinema. It’s difficult to tell the mood by the trailer, but they DID have a space motorcycle, and they DO use flying saucers, so it must not be too serious. Very nicely done, regardless.

  4. @Blank-Mage - considering their first film, I’d say this is going to be far from serious. Only another great reason to see it!

  5. I’ve been following the Cannes dailies from the Energia folks and this press conference is pretty darn cool. I particularly love the laugh the group gets when they say that “Iron Sky” is a comedy about Nazis on the moon.

And just for fun, the guys set out to find Speilberg…and they succeed!
