Glorious My Winnipeg Onesheet - And I Mean GLORIOUS

by Marina Antunes
May 1st, 2008

I questioned it at first simply because it doesn’t look quite right but it comes from a reputable source, Cinematical, and it does look like the kind of poster that should be used to announce the coming of Guy Maddin’s latest work - the fantastical My Winnipeg.

Here it is (click for super mother load sized version):

My Winnipeg Onesheet

Still no trailer for the film which apparently opens at the IFC Centre on June 13th, but I did find a recently posted Tribeca interview with Maddin which includes snippets of footage from the film. That short video is tucked under the seat!

  1. This was such a weird fun film. Never seen a documentary as strange as My Winnipeg. It really makes you go… “No Way did that happen”…and then slowly in the deep recess of your mind you start questioning that thought. It is Winnipeg after all, anyhting is possible.

Love the one sheet and want it for my wall.

    Go see My Winnipeg!

  2. It’s so odd as I wouldn’t have thought of it as a documentary but it totally is! Gotta love Guy.

  3. While I’m not a fan of Maddin because Brand Upon the Brain gave me seizures, I have to say this looks fantastic! Nice find on the footage Marina.

  4. Seizures? Oh dear. I realized it was strange but never figured on giving anyone seizures!

    And thanks!
