Middle of the Row Episode 3 – Make Your Ears Bleed

Note: Sorry for this but due to technical difficulties my voice comes through with and echo for the majority of the podcast. I hope you are able to still listen as we cover some very good movies.

this episode

Row Three’s newest writer, Dave Becker joins me for a discussion about our picks for 10 movies from this decade that are worth watching. Of course we don’t just limit ourselves to the ten each. Dave first runs through his runner ups and I list off more than 10 Asian movies that would have likely replaced most of my list. We start off the discussion though with a look at what we have been watching.

Yay IRMA VEP. One of my favorite Assayas films, and a great 'being john malkovich' type film with Maggie Cheung.

Also a interesing critique on the French Film Industry/Culture/Community.

Plus, effective use of a great Sonic Youth song. Nice.

I'm about 30 minutes in and I'll likely listen to the entire thing. But then, I'm a glutton for pain. 😉

Also only 30 minutes in, will get through the rest over the weekend. I'm sick and will be staying indoors… sigh. Car shopping did me in I guess.

That and the 50 below zero (fahrenheit) wind chill.

Oh good god. Talk about freezing cold. Not that you're missing much. Pretty bad weekend for new film.
