Tim Roth, Hayden Christensen and Mischa Barton all star in this upcoming comedy about a group of Florentines having a good time in the Italian countryside while the black plague decimates their city. Trailer doesn’t give any indication that there’s a plague going on anywhere and I’m not quite sure what the hell Tim Roth is doing in there but it looks so damned stupid, it might just work.
One thing I can’t figure out is who the hell this is being marketed to. The music and title suggest the teen Date Movie crowd but the period aspect, along with Tim freakin’ Roth, suggest otherwise.

….Okay now I can speek(:P:P). WTF?! At first it seemed like what Shoot ‘Em Up was aiming to do only in a period drama context. Part of it was serious then it completely jumped ship to parody and by the end it was a strange mix of the two. I am really eager to see it though.

Although I am intrigued by the cast. Mostly Tim Roth. But I still have this weird desire to see anything Hayden Christiansen is in, even if his past few efforts have been less than stellar. And Mischa Barton? Not too familiar with her acting, but I do like her… um… dialogue?

i think it looks hilarious. If it has Tim roth in it, it must be good.
Just getting to this now. Good call on the “Medieval Shoot ‘Em up” – the phrase ‘trying too hard’ comes to mind. But that does look like a fun cast. I’ll likely see this (sadly or not).
