I would concur that ALL ABOUT MY MOTHER is a must-see. Another great Almodovar film is LIVE FLESH, with Javier Bardem. I recently checked out DARK HABITS as well, which he directed in 1983. It's a comedy about a nightclub singer who leaves society behind by hiding away in a convent. However, this particular convent, which is made up of drug addicts and lesbians, turns out to be a lot like the world the singer hoped she was through with. DARK HABITS is an earlier Almodovar film, but many of the elements that would become his trademark are present. If you're a fan, it's definitely worth a watch. VOLVER made my top 10 list of 2006, and TALK TO HER made 2002′s list.

The more Almodóvar we can get the better. You're right that his films are pretty femine - or at least incorporate stories revolving around women (or gays). At any rate, I LOVED last year's <i>Volver</i>. My wife did a fabulous job (Oscar nom'd!). It seems she works best when filming in her native tongue. I assume that once again working with Almodóvar will be the same. Can't wait for more!
